SPRING IS HERE!

Yippeeeeee :-)

Yesterday, I drove to Glen Burnie (just north of Annapolis and just south of Balitmore) to meet my old college roommate and excellent friend, Gina.  We haven't seen each other in a while and decided to meet up halfway between our houses.  We both had to drive about 2 hours to Glen Burnie.  We had coffee, shopped at a really great mall, and got some lunch.  It was super nice to catch up and I bought a sweet new pair of shorts.  I have never owned a pair of black shorts and guess where I found them?  Forever 21!  I usually stay away from that store, because, although very inexpensive, it overwhelms the crap out of me.  There are clothes everywhere, no rhyme or reason to their organization, and it takes about 3 hours to get through the store.  But I found the beloved shorts so I bought them!

Last night Josh and I watched Angels & Demons.  It was pretty good.  I haven't read the book in a while, so I probably didn't notice all of the inconsistencies.

We slept for about 9 hours last night.  I woke up, ate some oatmeal, had a cup of coffee, got ready, and went on my longest run.  EIGHT miles!  I ran the entire thing nonstop and it took me 84 minutes.  My old 10 minute miles have stretched a bit, but I am pretty sure I know the reason.  After the sixth mile, I started slowing down gradually.  Past six miles is unknown territory and I was getting pretty tired (believe it or not).   It also didn't help that the first few miles I was running against the wind.  I was trying really hard to keep my regular pace, but that wind is a pain in my rear!  I have heard that the half marathon will be windy...  yikes!  I am still just thankful Lady Gaga will be there to keep me moving!
